During Taylor Swift's June 23 “Eras” tour show in London, Travis Kelce joined her on stage for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

The viral moment shocked Swifties worldwide. And it apparently was done with little to no preparation for Kelce.

Entertainment Tonight chronicled the surprise in a new feature. A source revealed that Swift and Travis Kelce have recently been discussing an “Eras” tour appearance for the Chiefs tight end.

“Taylor and Travis have recently discussed Travis making an appearance onstage at the ‘Eras' tour, when [the] timing was right, and they finally made it happen,” the source said. “Travis was so excited to support Taylor onstage, and Taylor couldn't be happier to feature him, especially during such a fun, pivotal scene in the show.”

Additionally, Kelce only had one night of rehearsal, the source said. The rehearsal occurred the night before his big moment. “Taylor was beaming from ear-to-ear as Travis took on the dapper role,” the source claimed. “The two are hoping he can make a cameo again in the future.”

This certainly was not Kelce's first appearance at an “Eras” tour show. Since the two started dating, he has been seen at several of Swift's shows. She will even acknowledge him during “Karma,” the show's closing number.

Likewise, Swift has attended several — 13, to be exact — of Kelce's Chiefs games. This began early in their relationship in the fall of 2023. She even made it to the Chiefs' recent Super Bowl win in February amidst her “Eras” tour.

The Kelce appearance was not the only surprise during Swift's June 23 show. She also performed “Us,” a song Swift recorded with Gracie Abrams, who has opened several of her “Eras” tour shows, with the singer.

Taylor Swift's “Eras” tour

For those who missed Swift's three shows at Wembley Stadium in London, she will return to the venue later in the summer. From August 15-20, Swift will play five shows at the iconic stadium. This will close out the European leg of the tour that began on May 9.

Then, Swift will return to North America for the final leg of the “Eras” tour. Nine shows will be played across Florida, Louisiana, and Indiana. The “Eras” tour will conclude with nine shows across Canada.

The “Eras” tour is Swift's most ambitious tour to date. Throughout the three-hour show, Swift plays 45 songs and takes Swifties on a journey throughout her discography. Songs from almost all of her albums are played throughout it.

It commenced on March 17, 2023, with a show in Glendale, Arizona. Shows across North America were played through August 9 before Swift took the tour to Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil to finish the year.

In February 2024, Swift resumed the tour with shows in Japan and Australia. She also played six dates in Singapore in March before taking a two-month break.

The tour's opening acts have included the likes of Phoebe Bridgers, Paramore, Muna, Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, and more. Paramore has opened all of the European leg shows and Abrams will assume that role once Swift returns to North America.
