Super Bowl 55 is still less than two weeks away, but the playful banter between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs has already started.
After Buccaneers wide receiver Scotty Miller fired the first shot and said that he would beat Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill in a one-on-one sprint, Hill and quarterback Patrick Mahomes responded, with The Cheetah taking the high road on Twitter with a simple message:
Hell of a player good for him ☺️ https://t.co/CWNNdOoQiV

Mahomes, meanwhile, appeared on “The Dan Patrick Show” after Miller. When informed of Miller’s claim, Mahomes also praised the wide receiver, who had two catches for 36 receiving yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers’ 31-26 win over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game.

We just taped an interview with @PatrickMahomes… Here was his response to Scotty Miller (@MillerTime___10) saying that he'd beat Tyreek Hill (@Cheetah) in a race.

When asked whether statements such as those made by Miller motivate the Chiefs, the 2018 MVP said playing in the Super Bowl is motivation enough for a Kansas City franchise looking to win back-to-back titles.
While it remains to be seen if Miller can indeed beat The Cheetah in a sprint, it is Hill who has been more productive on the football field as of late, as he had nine receptions for a team-leading 172 receiving yards in the Chiefs’ 38-24 win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game.
