The Los Angeles Clippers were one of the busier teams during this year's NBA trade deadline, and as a result, they added Norman Powell and Robert Covington to their roster.

Both of these players were excellent pickups by the Clippers, since they are two of the best role players in the NBA and have lots of experience in this league. When Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are fully healthy, the Clippers will almost certainly be the favorites to win the NBA title next season. They already had a lot of talent on their squad, and adding both of these players just made them that much better.

According to Ben Golliver of the Washington Post, Jerry West, the executive of the Los Angeles Clippers, had this to say regarding the Norman Powell trade:

“He played with Kawhi [Leonard], winning a championship. But on his own, this guy is capable of averaging over 20 points a game if he were a volume shooter. He’s a good all-around player and a great person.”

Jerry West is absolutely accurate in everything he says, as he was a fantastic addition to the Clippers. When they do get healthy, it'll be interesting to see what kind of noise they can create, because if their roster plays out the way it should, they'll be a team that no one in the Western Conference wants to face.
