The Los Angeles Clippers are bringing back the Buffalo Braves jerseys for next season.

The Clippers were called the Buffalo Braves from 1970-78. They changed their name to the San Diego Clippers in 1978 and then became the Los Angeles Clippers in 1984.

For the first time in franchise history, LAC is legitimate title contenders after signing Kawhi Leonard in free agency and trading for Paul George this summer. Los Angeles won 48 games last season without having a single All-Star on the roster. Now, they have two of the best players in all of basketball and a great supporting cast.

The Clippers' roster is headlined by Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley and Montrezl Harrell. Doc Rivers remains one of the best coaches in the game and figures to get the most out of this group next season.

The Clippers have good depth, but they will go as far as Leonard and George can guide them. Leonard averaged 26.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists for the Toronto Raptors last season. He shot 49.6 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from beyond the arc and 85.4 percent from the free-throw line.

George, meanwhile, put up 28.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 2018-19 on the Oklahoma City Thunder while shooting 43.8 percent from the floor, 38.6 percent from the 3-point line and 83.9 percent from the charity stripe.
