The Los Angeles Clippers pulled off one of the most epic comebacks ever against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night, erasing a 35-point deficit to pull out a 116-115 win. The Wizards led by 35 points in the second quarter, 30 points at halftime, 22 points in the final minute of the third quarter and then seven points with under 20 seconds remaining.

Still, the Clippers prevailed. That seven-point margin was cut to five with 18.9 seconds left before Kyle Kuzma split a pair of free throws with 11.2 seconds left to make it a six-point game. Luke Kennard then buried a 3-pointer to make it 115-112 with 9.0 seconds left. The Wizards couldn't get the ball inbounds, committing a 5-second violation to give the Clippers a chance. Washington didn't foul early enough and did the worst thing possible, fouling Kennard on a 3-point attempt that went in, resulting in a 4-point play and a victory for LA.

Coming back from 35 down is already crazy enough, but this insane comeback in the final seconds made history:

Truly an astonishing accomplishment for both sides here, good and bad. The Clippers pulled this off despite the continued absences of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, putting up a whopping 80 points in the second half to do it. Meanwhile, the Wizards have a mostly healthy roster and couldn't avoid this collapse at home, doing just about everything wrong in the second half.

Washington is down real bad right now as this team continues to slide after a hot start to the season. The Wizards have lost four games in a row and are now 23-25 on the season, which is good for the N0. 10 spot in the Eastern Conference. The New York Knicks are also 23-25, though, and the Atlanta Hawks are a game back.

Meanwhile, LA is 24-25 and in the No. 9 spot in the Western Conference after this historic effort.
