The Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers made an early trade splash before the deadline, as Portland sent guard Norman Powell and forward Robert Covington to the Clippers in exchange for Eric Bledsoe, Justice Winslow, Keon Johnson and a 2025 second round-pick via the Detroit Pistons. One of the key players in the trade, Powell, had a hyped reaction to the news that he would be heading home to Los Angeles to play for the Clippers.

Former Blazers guard Norman Powell is very hyped to be returning to his hometown of Los Angeles. Powell's first reaction to the Clippers-Blazers trade was to post this GIF on Twitter, featuring him dancing. He also shared a heartfelt message to the Portland organization.

At first glance, there doesn't seem to be that much of a difference between playing for the Clippers and the Blazers, as just two seeds separate the franchises in the Western Conference.

However, Portland seems to be committing to a rebuild with this trade of Powell and Covington, while LA seems like they want to keep trying to win even without their two best players in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

Powell, who is averaging 18.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.3 three pointers made per game. He'll provide the Clippers with another solid three-and-D wing player, making them a better team now and even scarier when fully healthy.

No wonder Norman Powell felt like dancing.
