The LA Clippers were defeated by the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 of the two teams’ first round Western Conference Playoffs matchup on Friday night by a final margin of 129-110.

The Clippers were surprisingly feisty, and they acquitted themselves better than almost anyone expected of a No. 8 seed against the juggernaut Warriors dynasty.

Even in a loss, the Clips fought hard, and it took an incredible display of shot-making from Kevin Durant (38 points at halftime, 55 in the game) to oust the Clips in this one.

Now, the Clippers franchise is faced with one of its most important offseasons in, perhaps, franchise history. With a multitude of draft picks, numerous cost-controlled young assets and a sizable chunk of cap space, the Clips should be an extremely attractive free agency or trade destination for some of the biggest names in the NBA.

However, there is one incredibly important player to the Clippers that might not be back next year, depending on how the offseason goes: Patrick Beverley.
