Hip Hop legend Snoop Dogg is known to be one of the Los Angeles Lakers‘ biggest fans. With that said, you wouldn’t expect him to say anything friendly about Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers.

However, in an appearance on All The Smoke, Snoop Dogg praised Leonard in a conversation with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson.

“He don't get rattled or nothing,” Snoop said. “They can be down by 15, and [Kawhi] will pull up, hit that mid-range, get back on D.”

It's no surprise that Leonard doesn't show any type of emotion, as he's been like that ever since his childhood days in Moreno Valley. In several interviews, the Clippers forward has said that he doesn't like showing emotion until his team wins the game.

Snoop also talked about Kawhi's basketball IQ on the basketball court.

“IQ can win more than ability and skill,” the 48-year-old artist said. “When I went to The Finals against Golden State, I saw [Kawhi Leonard] work out. He was the only one shooting nothing but mid-range… If your IQ is right, you'll hit the mid-range more than you hit the three. He’s [Kawhi] smart because the mid-range is a guaranteed two [points].”

Leonard does have a high IQ in general, as he has been an honor roll student even since elementary school, according to his teachers. During his teenage years, the Clippers All-Star used to watch nonstop highlights of Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson.

Nevertheless, Snoop Dogg will always have respect for Leonard. They're both from Southern California and have been good friends for a while now.
