As one of the handful of active head coaches who have won an NBA championship, the L.A. Clippers' Doc Rivers knows a thing or two about coaching. He's had one of the most difficult seasons in a long while with the Clippers this year, but it's been mostly due to injuries. At least Doc still has Lou Williams healthy and able to score at a snap of a finger, as he proved in one particular play.

Doc Rivers decided to bring on the veteran guard for a final play right near the end of the third quarter against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It proved to be a terrific decision, as pointed out by Reddit user beenfortheglory, as Williams immediately sank a tough turnaround triple to reduce the Wolves' lead from 11 to eight points.

Lou Williams eventually finished with 23 points, tied for the team-high with Austin Rivers, but the Clippers once again fell short in a 113-107 defeat to the Wolves.

Williams has had to be the Clippers' No. 1 offensive option in the absence of superstar Blake Griffin. The veteran guard has risen to the occasion for the most part, consistently producing 20-point performances for the offensively-starved Clippers.

While Griffin remains sidelined, the Clippers will have to rely on more of Doc Rivers' astute coaching as well as Lou Williams' terrific shot-making to continue being competitive.
