Since the acquisition of former Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper, the Dallas Cowboys have taken things up another notch offensively on the field.

Cooper has stepped firmly into the role as the top receiving option in the offense behind his elite level of production that saw him put together a career-best performance in the 29-23 overtime win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Dak Prescott is still shocked that the Cowboys were able to pull off a trade to acquire him, according to David Helman of Dallascowboys.com.

Cooper has been beyond productive in his first six games with the Cowboys as he has tallied up 40 catches for 642 receiving yards and six touchdowns over that span. He put his game-changing ability on display against the Eagles as he tallied 10 catches on 13 targets for 217 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

He made several huge plays in the game as he had a 75-yard touchdown reception late in the fourth quarter to give his team in the lead.

Meanwhile, he made the biggest play of the game by being able to gather a tipped ball near the goal line to secure the game-winning touchdown. This saw him become the first player in  NFL history with three go-ahead receiving touchdowns in the fourth quarter or overtime of the same game. He also joined Hall of Famer Michael Irvin as the only wide receivers in Cowboys history to put up more than 200 receiving yards and three touchdowns in a single game.

Beyond that, the win over the Eagles has put them securely in the driver seat to win the NFC East to get back into the playoffs where they could potentially be a dark horse to make a a deep run toward the Super Bowl behind their balanced play on both sides of the ball.
