Ezekiel Elliott has been dealing with a bothersome knee injury for some time now, and by the looks of it, the Dallas Cowboys are being cautious of his condition.
As reported earlier, the Cowboys are planning to “alter” their game plan after their Thanksgiving loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Elliott was undoubtedly limited in the said contest, which could push the team to make some key changes.

Now, according to Ed Werder of ESPN, the Cowboys are considering giving Zeke some to to heal. It means there's a possibility of him sitting out their Week 13 game against the New Orleans Saints.

For what it's worth, heading to Thursday's game against the Raiders, Ezekiel Elliott played down his knee issue and called it “temporary main.” With the way he described it, the injury didn't look like it would be a serious issue.
Clearly, that's not the case.
“Obviously, if I land on it or get twisted up and tangled, I’m going to get some pain there. But it’s more temporary pain,” Elliott recently said of his injury, per the Cowboys’ website. “It’s kind of like how you stub your toe and you have to walk it off, that’s kind of what it’s like.”
It remains to be seen what the Cowboys will officially do with their star running back amid his concerning knee issue. However, fans should be surprised if he does miss a couple of weeks. Dallas is 7-4 on the season after losing two straight now, though they still remain atop the NFC East.
