The Dallas Cowboys may have gotten some promising news on Friday regarding star running back Ezekiel Elliott. The six-game suspension still looms large for America's Team, but it may not be a concern for the short-term.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Elliott will be at least the next two games for the Cowboys.

This means that Elliott will play on Monday night against the Cardinals and next Sunday against the Rams, in a game that has become far more compelling after L.A.’s thrilling 41-39 win over the 49ers on Thursday night. Elliott’s suspension could commence as soon as Week Five, depending on whether the Fifth Circuit stays the injunction or rules that the injunction was erroneously granted in quickly after the October 2 hearing.

Dallas will now be able to focus on the next two matchups against the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams with the knowledge that they'll have their Pro Bowler coming out of the backfield.

Although this is good news for the Cowboys, for the time being, the team is coming off an ugly loss to the Denver Broncos. Elliott had his worst game on the NFL level with only eight rushing yards on nine carries.

So even though the team is concerned about the suspension which may still go into effect this season, the Cowboys have more pressing matters as they must figure out what when wrong in Week 2 and correct it against the Cardinals in Week 3.
