Robert Quinn signed a brand new contract with the Dallas Cowboys earlier on Monday, and is already looking forward to whom he will face once the team begins its training camp.

According to Quinn (via Pro Football Talk), the person he is most looking forward to facing on the practice field is left tackle Tyron Smith. Undoubtedly one of the better tackles in the league, Smith holds this level of value: Quinn believes that working with Smith on a day-to-day basis will help him become a much better player as he looks forward to the 2019 campaign.

“I’m trying to come in and be as positive as possible, make as many plays as possible,” Quinn said. “We all have standards as players and individuals. As an older guy, I’ll try to give what knowledge I do have to the younger guys and try to help them become better players, and better people, which is also a huge part.”

“How does the saying go? Iron sharpens iron,” Quinn said in a message on the Cowboys’ website. “If you’re going up against the best tackle in the game every day, it can only make you better. He’s been making his mark and hopefully he can make me a little better, too.”

Of course, Robert Quinn will be part of a Dallas Cowboys pass rush that is quickly becoming one of the best in the league. With DeMarcus Lawrence on the team and a bevy of talented linebackers behind him, Quinn hopes that the Cowboys can create one of the best defenses in the league. Should they accomplish that, it might not be too long before we see the Cowboys once again competing for a Super Bowl.
