The Dallas Cowboys are currently dealing with a significant number of injuries to their key players. In fact, there were six starters that will be sidelined for the team's practice on Wednesday including the following; Amari Cooper, Randall Cobb, Tyron Smith, La'el Collins, Bryon Jones, and Anthony Brown.

The Cowboys' passing attack has suffered significantly in the absence of key offensive lineman in Smith and Collins along with receiving threats like Cooper and Cobb.

Head coach Jason Garrett provided an update regarding Smith's recovery from a sprained ankle. Garrett noted that Smith will be evaluated on a ‘daily basis' to see if he can practice  at ‘some point this week.'

“Hopefully he’s getting better as we go here,” Garrett said, via the team's official website. “We’ll evaluate him on a daily basis and see if he can practice at some point this week.”

Garrett also provided an update regarding Collins' sprained knee. There wasn't a definitive status update but Garrett did express that Collins is ‘getting better.' It remains uncertain if he will be able to practice this week.

“Obviously I would love to be out there with my team, but at the same time I wouldn’t do anything to hurt my team,” he said. “We’re going to take it one day at a time and just grind it out.”

The last update that Garrett provided was about the team's two starting cornerbacks, Jones and Brown. Garrett was unable to provide much information about Brown's hamstring injury but did mention speak about Jones' status.

“He’s the one that I don’t know when he’s going to be able to practice,” he said. “Hopefully this week at some point.”

As for the Cowboys' receivers, Cooper and Cobb, there is nothing new available about Cooper's quad contusion but Garrett did say that Cobb is ‘day-to-day with back tightness.

The Cowboys are scheduled to face NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. They will need as many of their key players in the lineup as they can get to avoid losing a fourth consecutive game.
