Dallas Cowboys superstar quarterback Dak Prescott recently made an appearance in one of his team's practices, and it turned out to be quite a significant moment for the rest of the squad. Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot, in particular, seemed to have a renewed energy upon the arrival of his injured QB and good buddy.

The pair shared a brief yet endearing moment on the field as Prescott came to see his teammates in action:

The clip is inaudible, but you could clearly understand based on their body language that Prescott was showing Elliot that his ankle was doing better. This was after Elliot playfully mimicked Prescott's limp as the latter made his approach. While this may be an encouraging moment for Cowboys fans, it still stings quite a bit to have a star quarterback ruled out of the season for a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle.

Nevertheless, Prescott's visit was a welcome development for his teammates. According to Elliot, Dak has been amazing in trying to do everything he can to encourage his teammates despite the fact that he is unable to go to battle with them.

“It’s good every day to see him,” Elliott said, via Charean Williams of NBC Sports. “He’s always in great spirits, doing whatever he can to uplift his team, although that’s very limited just because of the circumstances. But Dak’s been great.”

For his part, Prescott is keeping positive. This is an undeniably tough time in his career, but he continues to keep his eye on his eventual return. On Friday, the 27-year-old posted this message via his Instagram: “Missing the game everyday, but it’s motivation to return better than ever.”

Cowboys fans can't wait as well, Dak.
