A Cyberpunk 2077 mod gives the entire game a nostalgic visual overhaul. Say hello to Night City set in the chaotic planet of Pandora with this Borderlands-style mod. The mod is currently available on Nexus Mods under a modder named “Salmo”.

The simple mod tacks on a visual filter to existing Cyberpunk 2077 graphics. Suddenly, all the futuristic weapons seem that much more familiar given their recognizable Borderlands luster. The short showcase video showed several combat scenes with the filter in place but so far has neglected to show if the filter works on cutscenes.
The Borderlands 2077 mod offers a semi-return to the unforgiving tundras of the planet Pandora with new cel-shaded enemies to shoot. Players shooting through enemies with the visual mod is an exciting way to explore and enjoy the many areas of Night City.
Undoubtedly, the mod adds leverage to an amazing game plagued with several issues with its console ports. The game overwhelmed with the negative press reception could definitely use fun mods. Creative mod creators make sure that there's no shortage of creative mods. Some examples include the ability to play Cyberpunk 2077 on the Nintendo Switch or in a Third-Person perspective.
Thankfully, CD Projekt Red doesn't prohibit its players from creating mods for their game. The sheer option to mod the game opens it up to more creative expression from the loyal fanbase. Undoubtedly, players continue to craft and develop more interesting mods for the latest action RPG.
Several players encountered bugs with the mod but the creator has announced that these have been brought to his attention. Subsequently, players expecting to play with this mod may have to wait while the final issues are addressed.
