Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has stood out throughout his whole career.
The forward has played for Liverpool FC, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton and has recently been linked with Wolverhampton Wanderers. In the world of soccer, he towers above most players that he has played alongside. In the EPL, there really isn’t anyone that looks like Crouch.
There may be someone that looks like him elsewhere, however. A much bigger sportsman and legendary Dallas Mavericks power-forward Dirk Nowitzki has recently taken to social media to tell his fans of a recent comparison made by a stranger.
Keen soccer fans will tell you that the comparison cannot be considered a ‘dizz’, as Crouch’s wife Abbey Clancy is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful women in the world.
Always up for a joke, Crouch replied to Nowitzki to express his opinion on the matter.
Dirk then came back to confirm that he was ‘just makin sure’.
Whilst it’s yet to be confirmed just how effective Crouch’s fade-away jump shot is, the pair do share similarities beyond their looks. They have both represented their countries in their respective sports, they are considered two of the more likeable modern sportsmen, and both have competed in their sports most elite competitions over a long career.
Let’s just say they can both be flattered.
