For awhile, Dirk Nowitzki was sporting a pretty great beard.
From February to April 2012, the Mavs had a “beard pact” where they didn't shave until their record got back to over the .500 mark. Dirk Nowitzki had arguably the best beard on his team, and that look has since been turned into a meme.
The meme in question concerns the Geico commercials with cavemen. Those ads had the punchline, “So easy a caveman could do it.” In the meme as you might imagine, Dirk is the caveman.
Apparently Dallas' franchise player never saw the meme until this weekend, when he tweeted:

Take it as a compliment Dirk. In this case if the Internet is making fun of you, it usually means you did something good to earn the hate.
Being sixth all-time on the scoring list with 29,491 points is a good thing, after all.
