Wednesday night featured a nail-biter between two of the top teams in the NBA as the league-best Utah Jazz took on the first-place squad in the Eastern Conference in the Philadelphia 76ers. The game needed an extra period to decide a winner and in overtime, Jazz star Donovan Mitchell had himself ejected from the contest.

Mitchell was tossed after receiving his second technical foul and in frustration, knocked over a cooler on his way to the locker room. Unfortunately, it hit an event staff right on the leg.

Mitchell quickly realized his mistake and immediately apologized to the staff, who gave the All-Star guard the thumbs up to indicate that he was fine.

In the end, it was the Sixers who escaped with a 131-123 OT win. The victory wasn't without incident though. The mean streets of Twitter blasted the referees for what many believe to have been a terrible performance. The alleged poor calls throughout the game—and especially in crunch time—were accentuated by Donovan Mitchell's ejection after what appeared like Joel Embiid lobbying with the referees to issue Mitchell with a technical foul.

Personally, that did feel like a poorly officiated game. Can't wait to see the Last Two Minute Report from this one.
