Donovan Mitchell just finished cashing in big on his rookie-scale max extension late in November, and now he's once again leading the charge in giving back to the community. The 24-year-old has been seen accomplishing random acts of kindness during his time in the NBA, and this time around is no different for the All-Star.

The former Louisville Cardinal made sure to let his school know that he'll never forget where he came from after he teamed up with Adidas to donate $200,000 in sneaker sales to African-American students that attend the University of Louisville:

“I’m sure we’ve all had moments where things changed our lives and had an everlasting impact. For me, I just want to give, especially people of color, an opportunity to have that everlasting impact and change,” Mitchell said, via The Undefeated. “You never know whose idea is going to create what or whose idea is going to be a catalyst for this or that.”

The sales comes directly from Mitchell's “D.O.N. Issue #2 x Louisville” shoe that released back in November. The low-top shoe features a black/red colorway with Mitchell's “Spida” logo stitched onto the tongue.

According to The Undefeated as well, Mitchell plans to debut the new sneaker on Thursday when the Utah Jazz face off against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Jazz had a triumphant season after Donovan Mitchell signed his five-year, $195 million extension. Now, they'll look to see once more how far both Mitchell and Rudy Gobert can take the club this season in a gritty Western Conference.
