The entertainment world was in a state of shock after news broke that legendary music producer Dr. Dre was rushed to the hospital after a brain aneurysm. As many feared the worst, Dr. Dre himself finally gave an update on his health.
Via Instagram, Dr. Dre thanked his family, friends, and supporters for the heartfelt messages. He also shared that he's doing “great” and will be home soon. He also gave a shoutout to the hospital staff who took care of him.
“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”
After news broke that Dr. Dre. was hospitalized, tweets poured in from his colleagues in the music industry, his business partners, and fans. Legendary rapper Ice Cube, Dr. Dre's fellow NWA member, sent his well-wishes to his good old buddy.
Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade also wished Dr. Dre to recover quickly from the ordeal.
LL Cool J, another hiphop icon, shared the news that Dr. Dre is indeed “recovering nicely.” Reports followed that the hip hop and business mogul is stable and lucid but tests are still being done to ensure his well-being.
Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, popped into the music industry through hip-hop group NWA — now considered as one of the most influential groups in history. From there, Dr. Dre worked his way up the ladder, working with the likes of Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, and establishing himself as one of the most in-demand and talented producers in the game.
