Dwight Howard still remains to be one of the biggest names in NBA free agency as the new season is now in full swing. Well, this was until Monday night.

Howard took to social media to announce that he has now decided to head overseas. The former eight-time All-Star made the announcement via the official Instagram of his new team, the Taoyuan City Leopards of Taiwan's T1 League (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

“Taiwan, this is Dwight Howard aka Superman,” he said. “I am so excited and I can't wait to touch down in Taiwan and start playing for the Taoyuan City Leopards.”

As expected, Dwight Howard brought his trademark intensity during the announcement which will surely make every single Leopards fan hyped to hear this news. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year also issued his statement with a huge smile on his face as he exhibited just how excited he is to take on this new chapter in his career.

Howard is going to be 37 in December and he's already played 18 seasons in the NBA. With this recent move overseas, it's very much possible that we've already seen the last of Dwight in the league. A comeback could still be in the books for him if he balls out in Taiwan (which he probably will), but at this point, it just feels somewhat unlikely given how Howard was unable to find a team this summer.

In 1,242 games played, Howard, a one-time NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers, holds career averages of 15.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game.
