With this years huge spike in the NBA salary cap, many players have began putting their talents on the market. Recently, Dwight Howard has been said to be a potential free agent on the Atlanta Hawks drawing board.

The Hawks going to the playoffs this year as the fourth seed probably helps their case when trying to convince Howard to make the move. Additionally, Atlanta is Dwight Howard's hometown, so to play as a home-grown hero like LeBron James may elevate his passion for the game.

Although Howard's time with the Rockets was less than ideal, he is still expected to seek a max contract. Maybe the Hawks will be able to make an offer he cannot refuse.
