The best team in the Eastern Conference will have to get by without its floor general on Saturday. Eric Bledsoe will miss the Milwaukee Bucks' game against the Washington Wizards at Capital One Arena due to soreness in his left achilles tendon. Backup wing Tony Snell is starting in Bledsoe's place.

Time for point Giannis!

Antetokounmpo, of course, has been Milwaukee's primary playmaker all season long. He not only leads the Bucks in touches by a comfortable margin, but also paces his team in assists, doling out 5.9 per game compared to Bledsoe's 5.5 – stats that say more about the brilliance of Antetokounmpo than anything bad about Milwaukee's nominal point guard.

Bledsoe is enjoying a bounce back season under Mike Budenholzer, averaging 15.8 points per game on a career-best 49.2 percent field goal shooting. The 29 year old still hasn't developed into a reliable three-point shooter, but he's a good fit for Milwaukee's five-out offense nonetheless due to the pressure he puts on the rim in both transition and the halfcourt. Bledsoe is shooting 59.1 percent from the field on 11.2 drives per game, according to Second Spectrum, numbers that make him one of the most efficient high-usage penetrators in all of basketball. Perhaps his most important work this season, however, has come on the other side of the ball, where Bledsoe has recommitted himself after lazing through his first season with the Bucks.

Washington, playing without John Wall for the season's remainder, and Milwaukee tipoff at 7:00 EST. Though the Bucks are obviously a better team with Bledsoe in the lineup, the negative effects of his absence are at least somewhat mitigated by today's opponent also missing its starting point guard.
