Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan is going to have to deal with another new offensive coordinator this upcoming season with Dirk Koetter coming in, but the good news is this is someone he is very familiar with working with.

Ryan was making an appearance on “The Front Row” on 680 on Tuesday morning and said he feels bad for coach Sarkisian because he enjoys working with him, but is excited to get to work with someone he is so comfortable working with.

“It’s hard,” Ryan told “The Front Row” via the Falcons team website. “I felt like I had a really good rapport with Sark, and he did a nice job for us. But, as a head coach, you feel like you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do, and I respect that with Dan. He felt like he needed to make moves in order for us to be better.

“I’m excited to work with Dirk Koetter again, it felt like my time spent with him early in my career was really productive. I’ve learned a lot since then, and I think we both can be better as we move forward. But, it’s one of the parts of the job that sucks, for sure. Letting people go and having new people come in and turnover, but it’s a part of this business and you have to deal with it.”

Ryan has worked under Koetter for three seasons and the offense always had a lot of success. He was named to two Pro Bowls and led the team to the NFC Championship game in 2012. The Falcons have high expectations for this team and there is no doubt going to be a lot of pressure on Koetter and Ryan to lead the team back to playoff success.
