Ralph Ineson will play Galactus in the MCU's upcoming Fantastic Four movie.

During an interview with The Movie Dweeb, Ineson reflected on landing the part. Despite how secretive MCU projects are, he had to tell his wife upon being cast in the movie. He is “excited” about getting started on the project.

He also revealed that the Fantastic Four script exceeded expectations. His son has been teaching Ineson the lore of the Marvel Universe.

“I loved it [the script]. When I got the part and read the script, I was like, ‘That's cool as f**k,'” Ineson recalled. “And now the more I've understood about the universe and the way it all fits together I'm like, yeah, that's really cool as f**k.'”

For some actors, being in the MCU role is a long engagement. Robert Downey Jr. was a mainstay in the MCU since it began in 2008 all the way until 2019's Avengers: Endgame. Ineson does not seem to care if his tenure is long as it means his movies are a success.

Who is playing Galactus in the MCU?

Ralph Ineson is taking on the role of Galactus in the MCU. He first gained notoriety for playing Chris Finch in Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's sitcom The Office.

Since then, Ineson has starred in The Witch and The Green Knight. His TV credits include Chernobyl and Ineson also starred in the final three movies of the Harry Potter series.

Coming up, Ineson will star in Robert Eggers' Nosferatu remake. He first collaborated with Eggers in 2015 when he starred in The Witch. Ineson then appeared in The Northman.

Galactus has not been properly adapted on the big screen yet. In Fox's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Unlike its gigantic appearance in the comics, this version of the character is made up of clouds.

The MCU's Fantastic Four will be Galactus' true introduction to the franchise. In the comics, he is a mainstay of the Fantastic Four series. It is only natural that he debuts in Fantastic Four.

After acquiring 20th Century Fox, Disney is gearing up for their first proper swing at Marvel's First Family. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn make up the team members.

Julia Garner was recently cast as the movie's Silver Surfer. John Malkovich, Paul Walter Hauser, and Natasha Lyonne are also in the cast.

Matt Shakman, who directed WandaVision, will direct the movie. He took over for Jon Watts who previously directed the MCU's Spider-Man trilogy. Shakman is known for directing episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Fargo, and Game of Thrones.

Jac Schaeffer created WandaVision, which was the first MCU Disney+ series. It debuted in January 2021 and Shakman directed all nine episodes.

The upcoming Fantastic Four movie is the first in the MCU's Phase Six. Blade, Avengers 5, and Avengers: Secret Wars will follow. However, it will be the third of four MCU movies released in 2025.

Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts will be released on February 14 and May 5, respectively. Fantastic Four will come out on July 25 before Blade comes on November 7.
