New York Knicks first-round selection Frank Ntilikina missed Thursday's practice due to a sore right knee, according to the organization.

Ntilikina reportedly “appeared to be limping slightly” when he exited Wednesday's practice session, per Newsday's Al Iannazzone.

While the injury has no serious repercussions, the Knicks will take a cautious approach with him prior to the start of Summer League.

Ntilikina is probably in better playing shape than any other Summer League participant from the Knicks, having played in the postseason with his former team SIG Strasbourg. He reportedly left right after draft night to catch a flight back to rejoin his teammates for a decisive Game 5.

A long-striding, rim-attacking athletic guard with an improved jump shot, Ntilikina could soon flourish into a finished product if he can find the right guidance in a much-maligned franchise.
