Nintendo released a new Game Builder Garage Overview Trailer. When first announced by Nintendo earlier this month, it piqued the curiosity of many gamers. It's a fun way to learn how to program games and to learn visual programming in general. However, we didn't have a lot of information about the new app yet back then. While many are curious about the idea of creating their own video games using their Switch, specifics haven't been revealed yet. People didn't know exactly what to expect.

With the new overview trailer, we now have a better idea of how the app will exactly work. The trailer showcased how easy it is to program actions to the keys of the controller. The video also detailed how nodons work, the nodes part of visual programming a game. The nodons are responsible for connecting actions to events and button commands. Aside from programming, Game Build Garage also encourages creativity with art designs and creations.

Perhaps the biggest news revealed in the nearly 5-minute overview trailer is its mouse support. While docked and on TV mode, players can connect a USB mouse on the console dock. With the mouse, it's easier to control the app's pointer for connecting nodons. This great feature will make it so much easier to visually program and is closer to the actual experience of developing games.

Meanwhile, the Game Builder Garage overview trailer didn't make any mention of the new Super Nintendo Switch Pro. Hopefully the app can utilize whatever new feature the Switch successor will have.

Nintendo Game Builder Garage release date will be on June 11, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch.
