Hauntzer dominant the NA LCS with Team SoloMid four years ago along with its legendary lineup which included Bjergsen and Doublelift. The American Top Laner moved teams but found little success outside TSM. Now he's back fighting for the organization's Academy squad in hopes of a comeback. The Academy may be the region's B-league but it also serves as a launchpad to the NA LCS. Hopefully, we'll see Hauntzer back in the main tournaments.
Article Continues BelowCody Sun meanwhile joins the team after his departure from 100 Thieves. He is one of the most skilled AD Carries in the region and no doubt a valuable addition for Team SoloMid Academy. The Canadian Carry has yet to win any NA titles but has made multiple appearances at Worlds. He first found fame playing for the revamped Immortals roster back in 2016. Currently, he is out to redeem himself on the stage after a dismal 2020 season.
Finally, Yursan joins the Academy squad as its rookie member. The Taiwanese Support has little in the way of experience but has a lot to prove. He definitely has his work cut out for him if he wants to make it in the NA region.
The Academy scene is every bit as competitive as the LCS but there is hope for unlikely heroes to emerge.
