Loud is coming out on July 15, 2022, on the Nintendo Switch and on PC on Steam. PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game will release eventually later this year.
Article Continues BelowLoud is described by the developer and publisher Hyperstrange as a “wholesome, music-filled arcade rhythm game in which a young, reclusive rocker goes on a journey of self-discovery.” In Loud, players take control of Astrid, a reclusive young musician who is aspiring to rock, but a magical connection with a guitar leads her to try out music, which the Gods of Rock have destined for her.
In Loud, there are 12 diverse levels each featuring an original song, not including the tutorial and a bonus track. Simple, arcade controls will deliver a satisfying challenge for rhythm players, with three classic difficulty levels to tune the challenge to the player's liking. For an extra challenge, unlock the extreme difficulty! More outfits, new guitars, and different gig locations can be unlocked as you progress in the game, updating your look as you grow into a Rock Superstar.
Do note that Loud for PC is not supporting keyboard and mouse controls. A gamepad is required to play the game. We've seen a lot of rhythm games in the market, but there is not a lot with charming and relatable stories and characters. The wholesome Loud will make anyone who ever dreamed of becoming a musician or aspired to be in a band feel at home, living their fantasy life in the shoes of Astrid. And maybe, just maybe, playing Loud can actually inspire aspiring musicians to grab their instruments and finally follow their dreams of becoming professional musicians and rock stars.
