‘I dream I move, I dream I groove, like Mike, if I could be like Mike, like Mike' are the words to the song forever sketched in the minds of basketball fans who grew up in the 90's era of basketball because of one Gatorade commercial which was a part of the machine that skyrocketed due to Michael Jordan's popularity after winning his first championship with the Chicago Bulls.

August 8, 1991, was the day the original commercial debuted when Jordan first signed with the sports drink retailer and was a hit with kids and grown-ups alike.

The campaign slogan has never really died out, and the famous athlete still endorses the brand. Recently the two parties came to an extension where you'll now see a new reveal from the Jordan Brand called the ‘Be Like Mike' collection.

What the collection consists of is four different Gatorade themed Air Jordans which will begin release on December 16.

The Air Jordan XXXII — which has the famous Gatorade lighting bolt and Mike on the outsole with Like Mike stitched on the tongue — as well as the 1991 Air Jordan's he wore in the commercial in Gatorade orange and green colors with Gatorade bottle lace locks will be the first releases next month.

This isn't the very first time the Jordan Brand has themed a sneaker, which includes the popular Space Jam colorways that were a big hit among sneakerheads.

Not only will the sneakers debut but Jordan gear in Gatorade theme colors with the famous lighting bolt will hit retail stores, and some has already made its way to online stores such as Eastbay.

Brian O'Connor, vice president of marketing for the Jordan brand released a short statement on the new releases.

Bringing ‘Be Like Mike' to life through this collection allows us to connect an iconic story to a new generation of Jordan consumers.
