Old Genshin Impact players would remember, we've seen Spectral Secrets Expeditions before. But for those of you who are new, here's what to expect, and what you can get.
Genshin Impact Spectral Secrets Release Date and Details
Spectral Secrets will run during Genshin Impact 2.1 from September 19, 2021, to September 29, 2021.
During Spectral Secrets Expeditions, the Expeditions mechanic in the Adventurer's Guild becomes more exciting. You can get more rewards, including Primogems. Each day, Katherine will give players seven Spectral Secrets Expedition locations. They will be ranked from B to S. There will be one S-Rank Expedition, two A-Rank Expeditions, and four B-Rank Expeditions. Going to these expeditions will eat up your Expedition counter, meaning you can't go beyond four expeditions at a time, Spectra Secrets or otherwise. To do an S-Rank Expedition, you'll have to complete the daily “Preliminary Expedition” World Quest first. After doing it, you'll be able to select the S-Rank Expedition.
As opposed to regular expeditions where you only choose one character to send, Spectral Secrets allow you to select support characters on top of your main one. Support characters can be chosen from characters owned by the Traveler's registered friends. These support characters will increase the chances for the Expedition to bring back more rewards. These rewards may include Primogems, with higher rank expeditions having more prestigious rewards.
To take part in the Spectral Secrets Expedition, players will have to be at least AR 30 and should have completed the quests Ritou Escape Plan and Floating Spirits – The Investigation Begins. Make sure to have these cleared as early as the first day, as there will be daily timed rewards for this event.
Make sure to also complete the Lunar Realm fishing event before it expires, and also pull for Baal if you still haven't yet.
