Genshin Impact 2.4 is already shaping up to be an exciting version update, but miHoYo isn't done yet in exciting its fans. On New Year's Eve, miHoYo posted on Twitter the official character art for Yae Miko, the shrine maiden of Grand Narukami Shrine. This officially confirms something that dataminers have known for some time: Yae Miko is now confirmed to be an upcoming playable character.

One of the few non-mortals in the game, Yae Miko is somewhat an Inazuma equivalent of Liyue's Adepti. She's been around for a long time and even claims to be good friends with Baal and Zhongli. She was first introduced in version 2.0 as a friendly face amidst Inazuma's chaotic civil war.

As far as we can tell, even the data miners haven't released any gameplay leaks yet, so we don't know yet how she'll play like and what her role in people's parties will be. We think that these leaks might find their way to social media really soon, too, as Genshin Impact 2.4 releases in a few days. With that out, we'll soon have the Genshin Impact 2.5 beta online, where data miners and leakers might be able to find Yae Miko's files. She is, after all, rumored to be coming out on version 2.5, and we might really end up finding her in the game sooner than later.
