A lot of people weren't that thrilled when the New York Giants selected Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Many believed he wasn't the best quarterback available and that there were simply too many question marks in his game.

However, when the Madden 20 rookie ratings came out, it was hard not to feel he was slighted a little – no matter your feelings about his talent.

Remember this is the sixth overall pick in the NFL Draft, and he was given a rating of 63. Honestly, that might not be as bad when comparing to Kyler Murray – who was given a 73. Murray was the first overall pick in the draft and just about anyone you ask will tell you he's an extremely talented quarterback.

Then you dig deeper though. As Dan Schneier of 247Sports.com points out, Tyree Jackson was given a 64 overall rating.

Let's be honest, there's a lot to like about Jackson as a prospect at quarterback. However, he was an undrafted rookie. Daniel Jones went sixth overall and Jackson wasn't even pick number 254 (the last official pick in the draft).

It's one thing to not believe someone was worthy of a pick, but to put an undrafted rookie ahead of a top-10 pick is absolutely crazy.

You'd have to imagine Daniel Jones will use this for motivation. There's a chance he doesn't start in his first year with the New York Giants – but that's just going to give him more time to sit on this and think about the mass number of people that seemingly don't believe in him.

Will Madden 20 end up being proven right? Or will this all blow up in their face?

That's for Daniel Jones to decide.
