Daniel Jones channeled his inner Odell Beckham Jr. on a trick play in the New York Giants' resounding win over the Carolina Panthers.

In front of the fans who booed him and the offense early in the game for failing to convert on 4th-and-goal, Jones used one hand to haul in a pass from wide receiver Dante Pettis — who, coincidentally, wears #13 — to pick up 16 yards and a first down. The MetLife Stadium crowd liked what it saw.

Jones' athleticism has always allowed him to make plays with his legs throughout his career. His ability to run has helped him keep plays alive and break off long runs. His first-ever career reception moved the Giants downfield and led to Jones and Pettis swapping roles to connect for a five-yard touchdown. Jones ended the day with 23 completions in 33 attempts for 203 passing yards and 28 rushing yards.

New York won its second game of the season, and its first at home, by a score of 25-3. While the Panthers may not be the most satisfying team to defeat, Jones did so without wide receivers Kenny Golladay, Sterling Shepard and Kadarius Toney and star running back Saquon Barkley.

So far this season, Toney has been the team's main big-play threat. Jones may not be throwing his hat in the ring to compete for that title with his one-handed snag, but he did provide an impressive highlight while the rookie wide receiver recovers from injury.
