The Giants are 1-7 on the season and have looked absolutely horrible on offense, especially given the talent that they have at the skill positions. Most of the blame has been placed on quarterback Eli Manning as it probably should be.

The Giants have an elite receiver in Odell Beckham partnered with a great secondary receiver in Sterling Shepard. They drafted running back Saquon Barkley and he has lived up to the hype. And yet with all the tools at their disposal, the Giants have struggled to bring the ball down the field and put points on the board.

With this, there have been a lot of clamors to have Eli Manning benched or even traded. His dad, Archie Manning, however, gave his thoughts on this. In an interview with TMZ Sports, the elder Manning says Eli has no intention of playing for another team other than the Giants:

I know he doesn't want to,”

“Eli's theory is kinda, ‘Go win a game.' So, that's kinda mine too. Hopefully, they can go win a game and win another game.”

If things don't turn around quickly, Eli may be out as early as next season especially given his advanced age. Actually, a lot of people already wanted the Giants to draft a quarterback to replace him this past 2018 Draft. Fortunately for them, drafting Saquon Barkley was not a bad choice at all.

The Giants face the San Francisco 49ers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their next two games as they look to make a push in the second half of the season.
