The injuries just keep on coming for the New York Giants.

First, Saquon Barkley suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 3. Then, Sterling Shepard sustained a concussion this past Sunday and will likely miss extended time. Now, Evan Engram may be on the shelf.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Engram might miss the Giants' Week 6 matchup with the New England Patriots on Thursday night due to a sprained MCL.

Engram has been the most reliable pass-catcher on New York's offense thus far this season, as he has caught 33 passes for 373 yards and a couple of touchdowns over the first five games.

He has logged over 100 yards twice this year, finishing with 116 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 and totaling 113 yards and a score in Week 3.

Engram, who played his collegiate football at the University of Mississippi, was originally selected by the Giants in the first round (23rd pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He played in 15 games during his rookie campaign and was impressive, hauling in 64 receptions for 722 yards and six touchdowns. Injuries then limited him to 11 contests last year, and he ended up snaring 45 balls for 577 yards while reaching the end zone three times.

With Daniel Jones getting set to make what will be just his fourth NFL start against what has been, by far, the most dominant defense in the NFL, this is the worst time for the Giants to be banged up, but it's looking like Jones will be without his top three weapons in Foxborough.

New York is coming off of a 28-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, which dropped Big Blue to 2-3 on the year.
