New York Giants left tackle Nate Solder is entering his second year with the team after seven seasons with the New England Patriots. However, there's a question as to whether or not he'll be ready for training camp after having ankle surgery.

Then again if you ask Solder himself, he'll be ready.

Solder has shown his durability over the last two seasons, playing in all 32 games possible regular season games.

Solder is vitally important to the Giants this season and beyond. The two biggest assets on the roster are Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones.

Barkley is the team's franchise running back, and Jones is their rookie quarterback. Both are expected to be the cornerstones in helping to turn the franchise around.

However, that can't happen if they aren't protected. That's where Solder comes into play. The left tackle is arguably the best offensive lineman on the team. They'll need him to be healthy in order to keep their young stars healthy.

That being said, it should be noted that this is Solder saying he sees “no reason to think I won't be there” when it comes to training camp. I've never known a player to not believe they'll be healthy or already are healthy in time for something.

With that in mind, it's important to take this information with a grain of salt. It could merely be Solder believing in himself over everything else.

No matter what the situation is, the good news is that it sounds like he's progressing well. Even if Solder isn't ready for training camp, it sounds like he'll be ready for Week 1.
