The New York Giants were able to add some depth to their receiving corps last year with the addition of Corey Coleman. It seems the young wideout will in New York for the 2019 NFL season.

Coleman was set to hit the market as a free agent this offseason. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, he has been tendered by the Giants.

The Giants have extended an RFA tender to former first-round WR Corey Coleman, source said, ensuring he’s back for another season. Coleman showed enough flashes in his short stint to warrant a longer look.

Coleman's career got off to a rough start after spending his first two years with the Cleveland Browns. He failed to live up to the hype as a 15th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and ultimately bounced around from the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots before finally settling down in New York.

Despite the constant relocation, Coleman still managed to show plenty of promise down the final stretch of the season for the Giants. He finished the 2018 campaign with five receptions for 71 yards while also flashing his potential as a playmaker on special teams. It appears New York is hoping he can take on an increased role in the Giants' talented receiving corps moving forward.

New York made headlines with their decision to part ways with safety Landon Collins. Although the loss of Collins undoubtedly stings, it is clear that the Giants are looking to fill their other voids on the roster before splurging money on a lucrative contract.
