The Green Bay Packers hiring Matt LaFleur was met with mixed reviews from fans and “experts” alike. After so many years with Mike McCarthy in charge, there was no doubt that a change was needed, but many believed LaFleur wasn't the right guy. There were comments about how he was too young and he wouldn't be able to get along with Aaron Rodgers, especially after he made clear he wasn't going to treat him special.

With the Packers now heading into the playoffs as the second seed in the NFC, even those who doubted LaFleur have put their criticism to the side. He has proven to be the right head coach for the Packers and has done a good job of building a relationship with the Rodgers.

Matt LaFleur Grade Through 10 Games with the Packers: A-

Matt LaFleur came into Green Bay to improve the Packers offense and he has done that. The focal point of the offense is still Aaron Rodgers, but LaFleur has done a good job of incorporating a run game.

Aaron Jones has quickly become one of the best running backs in the league, rushing 236 times for 1,084 yards and 16 touchdowns. With Jones running wild, it has also helped the passing game of Rodgers. Teams can't key just on Rodgers anymore and there are some teams who have actually game planned to take away Jones first.

On defense, the jury is still out on the Packers. They are getting better, but they are super inconsistent and sometimes that doesn't come down to coaching.

Even though they are inconsistent, this is a team that seems to have bought into what the coaching staff is selling, and they are all buying in.

On offense, a relationship with Rodgers can sometimes be tricky and it could quickly fall apart, but so far it seems to be going well. Right now, the grade for LaFleur is A- because the Packers have been impressive, but the team still has their big final test, the playoffs.

As Rodgers gets older, regular season success really doesn't mean a whole lot and it all comes down to what they are able to accomplish in the playoffs.

If the Packers can make a run and get to the NFC Championship game or the Super Bowl, this grade will rise, but if they get knocked out in the divisional round, this grade could drop all the way to a low B or a high C.
