The Green Bay Packers are getting ready to host their first NFC Championship Game since 2007—and their fourth appearance since 2014.

Fresh off an NFC Divisional Round victory against Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur will have their hands full with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady.

Tom Brady versus Aaron Rodgers, two of the best to ever play the game, both sporting No. 12. Perhaps one of the most anticipated conference title games in recent memory, it could go down as an instant classic.

As Sunday can't come quick enough, let's see how the Packers can send Tom Brady and company home early this season.

1. Aaron Jones Runs Wild

Aaron Jones is having a career season, and the soon-to-be free agent is showing out for every NFL team considering paying him big money.

Jones had 99 yards on 14 carries and a touchdown against the Rams and had a career-high 1,100 yards this season for Green Bay.

The Rams defensive line is one of the best in the league, and their defense ranked first overall in the entire league. Nonetheless, the Packers were able to run the ball successfully even without star left tackle David Bakhtiari.

Jamaal Williams added 65 yards on 12 carries against Los Angeles, and the Packers will need to have big performances from those two if they want to head to the Super Bowl.

The Packers struggled to run the ball in their lone matchup against Tampa back in October. They combined for just 94 yards on 21 carries, and Aaron Jones had just 10 carries for 15 yards and a score.

That shouldn't happen this time, and if Jones and company can run the ball with success, they will be heading to another Super Bowl and the first in the LaFleur era.

Prediction: Aaron Jones runs for 120 yards and two scores.

2. Davante Adams Tops 100 Yards Once Again

It's no secret that Davante Adams is having a career year, and the Packers wideout is arguably the best receiver in the game today. His chemistry with Rodgers is at an all-time high, and Adams topped 1,300 yards this year and had a league-leading 18 touchdown catches in the regular season.

The Fresno State product had seven games with more than 100 yards, and he scored in all but three games he played this year. Adams has been dynamic, and nearly impossible to guard.

Last week against the Rams with Jalen Ramsey nearby, Adams finished with 10 catches for 66 yards and a touchdown on a team-high 10 targets.

The NFC title game versus the Bucs will undoubtedly be a high-scoring game, with two of the top offenses in the league facing off against each other, and two of the best quarterbacks to ever play.

Adams had 10 catches for just 61 yards against Tampa back in October, and that was one of the games where he didn't reach the end zone.

That can't be the case come Sunday, and Adams will be the centerpiece of this offense once again. He should have a much easier time against the Bucs, and Rodgers and LaFleur need to find ways to get Adams the ball and allow him to make plays.

Prediction: Davante Adams goes for 14 catches, 158 yards, and a score.

3. Packers Defense Forces a Couple Turnovers

The Green Bay defense has turned it around since Mike Pettine took over as the defensive coordinator, and shutting down—or even limiting—Tom Brady remains a nearly impossible task.

With weapons galore in Tampa with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, Rob Gronkowski, Leonard Fournette, and Ronald Jones among others, planning for the Buccaneers is a headache.

Defensive tackle Kenny Clark has been playing out of his mind in 2020 and is fresh off a 1.5-sack game against the Rams.

Tom Brady is certainly not perfect—believe it or not. He threw 12 interceptions this season, which is the most for him since 2006 when he also threw 12.

The Packers secondary has been playing well lately, and Jaire Alexander is having a stellar season. Pettine's group got Jared Goff to the ground four times in the divisional round, and getting pressure on Brady has always been the way to stop him—as hard as that is to do.

If the Green Bay defense can force a few turnovers and give Rodgers a short field or an extra possession, the Packers' job will be easier.

Prediction: Packers force two turnovers against Tampa Bay

4. Aaron Rodgers Gets Revenge

Aaron Rodgers is in the thick of the NFL MVP race, but his eyes are set on hoisting up another Vince Lombardi trophy.

Rodgers struggled mightily against Tampa in October in what was easily the worst game of the year. The future Hall of Famer finished that 38-10 drubbing with an abysmal 16 of 35 mark with 160 yards with no scores and two interceptions.

While Rodgers is having an MVP season, Tampa Bay has a swarming defense. Jason Pierre-Paul is having a great year upfront with 9.5 sacks and Todd Bowles' group is fourth in the league in sacks and seventh in the league in interceptions.

Ndamukong Suh had six sacks this season, Devin White had nine and Shaquil Barrett finished the year with eight, so this Tampa Bay front seven can get after the quarterback as good as any group in the league.

Rodgers is ready to avenge his season-worst performance and lead his team back to the Super Bowl, and if he plays at an MVP-level, the Packers will be nearly impossible to take down.

Prediction: Aaron Rodgers throws for 350 yards with 3 touchdowns and no turnovers

Outcome

The Packers will have their hands full, but the home-field advantage and a few thousand fans shouting their heads off will certainly benefit Green Bay. The Packers can't afford to lose their second straight NFC Championship Game, and the Rodgers-Brady matchup might be even better than the previous week's Brady-Brees matchup.

Will it be Tom Brady with his first-ever NFC title, or will Aaron Rodgers continue his stellar season and return to the Super Bowl?
