The Portland Trail Blazers have signed Greg Stiemsma to a training camp deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

The move can be considered precautionary, given the amount of big men that the Blazers currently have sidelined.

Meyers Leonard, Noah Vonleh and new signing Festus Ezeli are all dealing with injuries to start the season. With all three out, it could prove to be too heavy a workload for Mason Plumlee and Ed Davis at the center spot.

While not a big name in the NBA, Stiemsma has spent each of his first four seasons with a different team and helped anchor each team's defensive core.
