Ja Morant's evolution with the Memphis Grizzlies is fun to watch. On Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers, he added another material to his highlight reel this season that will make Michael Jordan proud.

Midway through the first quarter, Morant committed a turnover against Avery Bradley. However, it only set up what could be said as the best stop of the season as Morant chased the ball and rejected Bradley's shot attempt with a two-handed block.

Are we getting Michael Jordan vibes here? LeBron James might hate it, but Ja Morant is certainly balling like a true superstar this 2021-22.

That said block certainly reminds us of Jordan's two-handed rejection of Ron Mercer when he was already with the Washington Wizards. It would have been even better had Morant held the ball like his Airness did, but hey, he did get the possession to make up for his turnover.

Morant's rise to superstardom has powered the Grizzlies to one of the best records in the NBA. While he missed some time due to injury and COVID-19 health and safety protocols, he has since bounced back to keep the Grizzlies rolling.

Prior to Sunday's contest, the Murray State product has been averaging 27.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.0 block since returning from his 12-game absence.
