Memphis Grizzlies shooting guard Justin Holiday is expected to be in uniform and available for Saturday's game against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Grizzlies acquired Holiday from the Chicago Bulls on January 3. The trade has become official.

In 38 games this season for the Bulls, Holiday has averaged 11.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. The 29-year-old shot 38.3 percent from the field, 35.9 percent from beyond the arc and 89.1 percent from the free-throw line.

Justin Holiday will provide scoring, playmaking and perimeter shooting for the Grizzlies, who are currently on a four-game losing streak. Memphis is in dire need of more offensive firepower, as they are only averaging 101.5 points per game on the season. That's 29th in the NBA.

Holiday will likely back up Garrett Temple at the shooting guard position for Memphis. Temple, who was involved in a locker room altercation with teammate Omri Casspi this week, is putting up 10.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists on the season while shooting 44.8 percent overall, 36.5 percent from the 3-point line and 78.6 percent from the foul line.

Now in his fifth season, Holiday is already a career journeyman. He began his NBA career with the Philadelphia 76ers. He has since played for the Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Bulls, and New York Knicks.

Holiday was part of the 2015 Warriors team that won the NBA championship over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
