The Memphis Grizzlies have traded guard Troy Daniels to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for a second-round pick, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The pick will be protected up to No. 55.

Suns shooting guard Devin Booker notably went head-to-head against Daniels last season and put him down after the latter tried to talk trash to him having gotten around a screen to nail a jumper.

Booker went off during his post-game media availability, noting Daniels had been an unheralded journeyman during his whole career.

“I don't know why he's talking to me,” Booker said post-game. “He's been on five teams in three years and he has the nerve to talk to me.”

Ironically, Daniels now will be on his fifth team coming into his fifth year in the league, after playing for the Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Charlotte Hornets, and the Memphis Grizzlies last season.

The VCU alum shot a blistering 38.9 percent from beyond the arc, but struggled from the field, mustering a lowly 37.4 percent through 67 games. The 26-year-old averaged 8.2 points and 1.5 rebounds last season with Memphis.

More interestingly, the Suns will likely bring him behind Booker as Brandon Knight is likely to be sidelined for the entire season.
