Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley shared a special moment with a fan after Wednesday night's 95-87 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers inside FedExForum.
As he made his way off the court, Conley handed out several pieces of his game-worn attire, including his headband. One piece of his apparel, however, was destined for Kemberley Lee.
Lee was the mother of nine-year-old Kameren Johnson, who was killed in a bus crash earlier this month. The accident occurred in Conley's home state of Arkansas as Kameren was on his way home from a youth football tournament.
“I couldn’t imagine what they’re feeling at this time,” Conley told David Cobb of the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
As a thoughtful gesture, Conley decided to write Kameren's name on his in-game shoes, which he later signed and gave to Lee.

“Man, it was just humbling to give Kameren Johnson’s family those shoes and to even play with his name on my shoes was an honor,” Conley said. “I know they’re going through a lot, dealing with a lot.”

Conley logged 33 minutes in Wednesday night's game, scoring 15 points on 6-of-16 shooting from the field, eight assists, two rebounds and two steals.
The Grizzlies (18-16 and third in the Southwest Division standings) will be back in action on Saturday night, when they'll welcome the Boston Celtics to town. Tip-off inside FedExForum is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
