Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins is playing the best basketball of his life and his teammates are loving it.

Since joining the Hawks in 2017, John Collins has always proven that he has the potential to become a great player in the league.

Season after season, Collins managed to improve almost every aspect of his game. To date, he is averaging 16.6 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game and has already been a key figure in the current Hawks team in recent times.

What's even more interesting, Collins has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.

“I always think of myself as a perfectionist,” Collins confessed via The Athletic. “I want to be great at everything.”

Now on his fifth season with the Hawks, Collins is already getting along well with Trae Young, who has been pleased with his constant thirst to always become a better player.

“Now he’s being so consistent with it,” Young said of Collins. “This is normal for him. He’s playing really well on the offensive end. On the defensive end, he’s just as good if not better.”

Hawks head coach Nate McMillan previously acknowledged the pair's chemistry and revealed that the “next step” is have Collins and Young make their teammates better as well.

“If I speak on one, I have to speak on both,” McMillan said of Collins and Young via USA Today. “The next step for them is to make their teammates better. All of us are going to have to sacrifice out there because we do have depth.”
