The NBA season is yet to open its doors, but the Miami Heat are fancying their chances of making the postseason. In fact, Heat legend Dwyane Wade believes that Jimmy Butler will be the man to spearhead the new Miami era forward.

In an interview with Brandon Robinson of Heavy.com, Wade talked about the franchise's future with Butler and had nothing but good words to say to the four-time NBA All-Star

“I think it’s going to fare well with him,” Dwyane Wade said. “And I think the guys on the team will be energized to have a guy like Jimmy there to push them. So, I look forward to them having a way better season obviously then we did the last seasons here in Miami.”

Butler has built a reputation of being serious whenever he is on the court. He expends energy on both sides of the ball and expects his teammates to do the same. He is also a vocal leader in the locker room whose leadership skills match his on-court production.

He has been a terrific contributor on both sides of the ball. Last season, he averaged 18.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.9 steals blocks in 65 combined games with the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Philadelphia 76ers.

While training camp is yet to begin, Butler has already positively influenced his teammates. He and rookie Tyler Herro have joined up on early morning practices to get in shape for the upcoming season.

Butler's upfront attitude should mean well for a Miami squad that failed to make the playoffs last season.

Wade sincerely believes his fellow Marquette alum really wants to be in South Beach. It bodes well for the Heat if that becomes the case.
