Zaire Wade, eldest son of Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade, has received an early offer from the University of Nebraska, according to a report from Emily Caron of Sports Illustrated.

Zaire confirmed the university's invitation in an Instagram message on Tuesday morning.

Though he is not currently ranked in the top-100 of 247Sports' 2020 recruiting class, Zaire, now 16 years of age, is an extremely talented young guard.

At 6-foot-2, Zaire is a point guard by trade. He is currently attending American Heritage High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and also plays on the Nike EYBL circuit. According to Caron's report, there are several other colleges interested in his services, including Marquette, Michigan State, Florida State, and Toledo.

It must be noted that Dwyane played his collegiate ball at Marquette. However, Zaire's stepmother, Gabrielle Union, is from the state of Nebraska, which makes her a natural Huskers fan.

Zaire has several tricks in his proverbial bag. He's a great ball handler and passer, but it's his court vision and awareness that shines through. And just for the record, he has a smooth, left-handed stroke.

With a couple more years of high school in his immediate future, Zaire has a lot of time to figure out where he'd like to attend college.
