Miami Heat lifer Udonis Haslem made his season debut against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night, and he promptly got ejected just three minutes into this appearance after a scuffle with Dwight Howard.

Haslem has absolutely zero regrets about the incident. After giving a short play-by-play of what went down, the Heat veteran even admitted his stepmom texted him and told him he was in the right for going after Howard.

Via ESPN's Tim Bontemps:

“It was obviously very physical,” Haslem said. “Dwight plays the way Dwight plays, and it was just a conversation between me and him that I just wanted to make it clear that the throwing down and the swinging of the elbows and things like that, I just felt like we should kind of leave that out of the game for tonight. I think he kind of disagreed, so when he disagreed, I disagreed, and there was a whole bunch of disagreeing.

“I don't remember what happened. At the end of the day, I am who I am. I am who I am. I can't change now. You know what I mean? My stepmom texted me right after the game and said I did the right thing, so I have no doubt in my mind I did the right thing.”

Bam Adebayo's NSFW response was even more hilarious, and Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said it was his favorite moment of the season.

Miami is having a ton of fun right now as the playoffs approach. The Heat are on a four-game winning streak to get to 39-31 on the season, and they're currently trying to get the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference. They're gearing up for another deep postseason run and look capable of making one as long as they stay healthy.

Udonis Haslem almost certainly won't be getting playoff minutes, but his leadership will continue to be important for the Heat come playoff time.
